Checking the blockage: The impact of protein fouling on platinum electrodes is assessed by electrochemical methods. Adsorbed proteins are shown to partially block an electrode, with no charge passing through blocked regions. theory and methodology for investigating fully presented, applied adsorption implications bionics applications discussed.
